About the Broker
With over forty years of experience, Vinson L. Baker Sr. is a development consultant, Real-estate agent, builder, expert in Mortgage loans, HUD programs, and construction management. Vinson believes that all people have a right to the American dream, starting with the home of their dreams.
He reached his dream of developing in Augusta, GA. where he became a licensed real estate broker in GA, SC, and NC. He built his resume as a developer: building over 14 houses in the CSRA, Grace St Church of Christ and Lexington Ave Church of Christ, renovating and restoring. Vinson is a mortgage loan officer in VA, FHA, sub-prime loans, and convectional loans and worked with Loans by Summerville, Columbia National Mortgage, and First Choice Mortgage.
Vinson worked as a consultant in New Orleans for the Saint James Housing Departments and wrote business plans for CHODOS in South Carolina and Florida. He also helped start Interfaith Housing in Lower Delaware and served on the Board of Interfaith Housing of Delaware. Vinson is currently providing services as a development consultant for Government and Private industry.
I have over 25 years in customer service experience and assisting the public. I provide a high level of communication skills and my strong work ethic and experience ensures that my clients and community are top priority.
Through my years, I’ve worked for the City of Augusta, Housing and Community Development. There, I processed Rehabilitation and Emergency applications and contracts. I handled and implemented Environmental Review Reports (ERR) for all city department including demolition, rehabilitation, down payment assistance (DPA), and new construction projects to include building Methodologies, material use, and project alternatives.
